What you wear says a lot
What you wear says a lot about you, how you’re feeling, what mood your in, how productive you’ll be, and more. AmI RIGHT?
So, do you dress to impress or dress to lounge? A little bit of both you say, no worriers. They each have their place, but I truly believe the nicer you dress the better you feel about yourself and the more productive you are.
I use the term dress to impress above very loosely. I’m not talking about expensive or fancy clothes. It’s more about getting up and getting dressed in regular, appropriate fitting clothing (so basically no lounge around or workout clothes).
Does your outfit effect your productivity?
It’s about getting dressed for you and no one else, feeling good about yourself, and showing up for you. Don’t forget to finish your outfit off with doing your hair (ditch the tail) and a little make up.
Yes, getting dressed makes me more productive, but I will be the first to admit that workout clothes are the BOMB! As a fitness professional I wear workout clothes a lot and I know comfortable they are, but I try not to live in them (even though I could – LOL). I am personally more productive and feel so much better about myself when I get up and get dressed, do my hair, and put on make up.
It’s about finding what works for you and not someone else.
